AI Automation EP LLC provides automated appointment messaging for medical clinics. Patients consent to receive text messages directly from their clinic before any message is sent. This page documents exactly how that consent is collected.
Patients receive only appointment-related messages (reminders, confirmations, cancellations, and scheduling updates) for their own appointments. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Patients can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time.
When a patient calls the clinic to schedule an appointment, a staff member collects their mobile number and asks for verbal consent using wording such as:
The patient's number is only added after they verbally agree. The staff member records that consent was given.
When a patient comes into the clinic, they complete a paper intake form at the front desk. The form includes a field for their mobile number and a consent checkbox that is unchecked by default. The patient must actively check the box to opt in. The form reads:
No messages are sent unless the patient has checked this box and provided their number.
Patients can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and will receive a confirmation that no further messages will be sent. Replying HELP returns clinic contact information. Patients can opt back in by replying START.
